The map I am analyzing is the percentage of people who are caucasian in the united states. The midwest region is the most condensed area with caucasian.There are very small amounts of caucasian population in the south and south east area of the united states compared to the mount of people of caucasian descent in the mid west. In the rocky mountain region and west coast it is very mixed with amount of people with caucasian descent. Alaska and hawaii there is very little in hawaii and there is more people of caucasian descent in southern alaska then there is in the north.
Why is there more people of caucasian descent concentrated in the midwest than anywhere else in the country. I believe that the midwest when america was being settled there was a lot of immigrants coming in settling in and building town and settlements there were a lot of caucasian immigrants and every one we spread every where pretty thinly. There were a lot of plantations in the southern part of the united states the owners of the plantations had slaves of african american descent and after slavery was abolished there ended up being a lot of people of african american descent in the southern area of the united states.
The difference it makes is that we can still see that there is a ever lasting impression on the population of the united states and our history.The impact is still there is a racist biased in the southern area of the united states as illustrated in many surveys and maps like the map of hate.
It is hard to belive a gruaged can be held for 150 years for some of a popluation.It is also that familys sometimes jsut stay in a state or a town or county for generations.
